Life can catch you off-guard and hit you with an unexpected injury or illness, and then what? Just the thought of facing a mountain of doctor and hospital bills makes you even more sick. You do not have to go through this alone though.
One option for you is to speak to a medical billing advocate. They are specialized in winning reduction in medical fees by spotting out errors in which you might have been overcharged. There are a few offices located throughout California which you could contact:

To get direct assistance, you must contact your Local Health Consumer Center. You may find this information on their website. For example, the phone number for the San Diego office is 877-734-3258.
St. Anthony Foundation is concerned with providing basic medical and social needs and services to the low-income class of San Francisco. Their Free Medical Clinic provides free primary and speciality care to thousands of uninsured patients each year. Archana was born in India, and moved to North Carolina with her immediate family when she was 7 years old. She speaks mostly Tamil, the native language of South India, and English in her home. In addition, having taken Spanish classes since 6th grade, she can speak and understand it pretty well too. Archana enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, listening to music, and going to the gym. She also loves to travel, and hopes to travel the world one day and learn about all the different cultures!
